Thanks ph33x, i was aiming for this type of setup when building this PC; best non-SLI system, as theres always some tweaks required to get things going.
New driver would be nice, I always feel dirty using a beta lol
Anyway I'm thinking of buying another 670 instead of waiting for the next gen card, can't really justify spending $900 for my pleasure nowdays. SLI 670's will do every thing I want, except beat you guys in the benchmarks....
I don't know why you'd want to get a Titan over a 690 for a single screen application. The 690 is faster. Just the 2GB VRAM lets it down for surround. 2x Titans though would be a decent upgrade, for like $1700-2000. Cost me $1500 for Tri 680's which is probably as powerful as 2 Titans. I guess it would be nice for them people who struggle with SLI issues, but I don't really have any issues anymore, just a bad driver early on, and the wait for 3Dmark fix driver.
And the nvidia site didn't release anything new, *****.

I read on Tom's that there was a rumor that the Titan might out perform the 690, and it consumes less power. But I do find it hard to believe that a single gpu could outperform a multi gpu card.. But I hope it's true, and if it is I might consider getting one.
Eh, the 690 is still so expensive over here compared to other countries. Even if the Titan out performs it, it probably won't be by a vast amount. Will be interesting to see how the prices for everything go though.
Yeah a EVGA 680 Classified 4GB over here is like 750-800 lol. $560 from the US, we get ripped hard, Kepler was generally always cheaper than Fermi. My original upgrade was going to be another 580, but they were more expensive than the 680 which was just 6 months old at the time. If I can sell these 3 for $1000 in a years time, that would be a pretty good deal.

There are plenty of people on ebay that buy old hardware for a good price, so I found out a few months back. Made close to 700 dollars from selling an i7 cpu, 1366 mobo, and a 560ti.
Dunno where Joe is Bait, he said he'd run it. Probably busy trying to gather +rep over at overclock.net buy helping in distress noobs. Snapping up another 670 sounds like a great idea.
Hahaha SuperJoe to the rescue!! Well placed my order for another 670, my PSU is old now so order a 850w Silerstone Strider Plus and a cheap PCI-e Xonar DSX since I can't use my PCI slot with the new card in.
...my PSU is old now so order a 850w Silerstone Strider Plus...
I went with all Silverstone this time, the big PSU is damn high quality, the voltages never droop and are within a fraction of 1% tolerance no matter how hard I take it from Idle to full load. Shouldn't miss a beat.

I think there should be restrictions to whom can enter the ladder. You get those people with big scores just go around to random websites just to get their name thrown up on the top. Maybe 50 or 100 post count minimum or something.. The 3dmark11 ladder wasn't too bad but when I look at it, there are a couple of people who I've never heard of.. And 50 slots is a bit ott, maybe top 10 or 15 so if you get knocked off, you might actually want to increase your score to get back on the list?
Great score Ghost_Dog and welcome Go Red team!! Edit: how the hell is you CPU running @ 2.1 Billion Mhz lol.
Yeah we thought about certain restrictions Circa but it turns into a mine field. I can say, all low post, high scores I try and search for any links to being professionals and they will be the first bumped off the ladder, as it's not fair on GA locals. If anybody has objections to any users score they are free to bring it to everybody's attention for further scrutiny. And having 50 spots up for grabs encourages participation by a wide varity of people, not just those that can afford top dollar computers, so can't change that.
Okay, your call. Probably would be a lot of QQ'ing if there was some restrictions. I just thought top 10 would make it more competitive, but for the lower end users I guess it would ruin it lol.
Thought it was a bit silly to leave my score with stock clocks so I did another run. P8094 -i7 950 @4.07, 6gb DDR3@2000mhz, EVGA GTX 690 (power+135,gpu+175,mem+150) http://www.3dmark.com/fs/172834

Thats the way nings and thanks guys, just giving the new card time to settle in and then I'll OC.
Circa I found with last couple of benchies that CPU clock doesn't really add a lot to the score, but go for it cause things a looking promising for me lol
I can manually POST my GPUs, CPU and DIMMs in the BIOS before letting the system boot normally to find issues with new settings. Don't even need to boot the system to find an issue, will probably use this to see what I can get out of the RAM. I know you have to up the volts a bit towards 1.8v, while maintaining a tight delta with VTT as well, and only 4 of 8 sticks being used on 1T. The whole system needs more power to do it with stability, but there are gains to be had for benching, I wouldn't use it 24/7.

In all honesty unless your going for PI scores it wont make any/much difference with 3Dmark as adequate throughput can be attained with 1600MHz C8 for most new CPU's so there is no bottleneck as such.
Since there are many intricate details involved in pushing RAM to the limits this is not really a subject that can be discussed easily here plus I hate typing lol.
As you know, highest Freq, tight timmings and 1T plus memtest86 FTW. Play with voltage, slew rates, VTT etc and try not fubar your RAM lol.
Edit: yes corrupting windoze if you dont test settings first.. Edit edit: Just noticed you're running 2400 C10, just see if you can tighten timming and be done with it.
Cheers, nah CPU is on H2O and goes to 4.7 125x38@1.35v easily but only add's 70 -100 points so I can't be bothered...Above 4.7 I need 1.4v so thats out too.
Yeah bloody hope Nvidia pull their finger out soon!!
