Been playing C3 a bit lately, a nice breath of fresh air from current titles out.
Anyone else been playing it? Does it run well on your hardware? I'm seeing up to 2.8GB VRAM used on a single panel. **** is huge.
Few beta things they'll need to fix (not just claim to fix) before I pay for it, but it's looking pretty good even though you can see the console port in it a little with the trees.
Will most likely have a tex/DX patch later on as well, anyone else keen on this?

Yeah the 680 should do pretty good, it's still unoptimised at the moment, so a 690 is the only single card solution that will give you guaranteed 60+fps at max settings with max AA. Expect the 680 to hover around this mark once everything is cleaned up.
And good, you got the 4GB version, you'll need that VRAM mate, and if you go SLI, you'll love it. Some people with 2GB 680's on SLI running max details are getting full frame buffers, that's possibly at 1440 or 1600 though.

Runs fine, good enough to get me through sp. 6000x1080 i get 40 fps avg, all settings on very high and running lowest SMAA. Looks great and is very smooth despite lower frames. no microstutter and VRAM usage is well under 2gb. Thinking I will snap a couple nVidia titans tho still.
I haven't tried surround yet. Getting about 140fps average @1920. Max settings, max SMAA. If you use MSAA the VRAM usage goes up a good chunk. Someone is up to 2.2gb on a 1600 panel with it.
MSAA chews up the frames though and looks comparable to SMAA-MGPU. I was getting 80fps on MSAA, and 140fps on SMAA (average).
I've seen standing shots of lowest to very high settings and the diff is so negligible it's laughable. I know for surround I'll be dropping anything to get 70fps minimums, the game feels much more fun with high frames (I had SLI issues to begin with)
The game really works up the cards up too:

One of the cards isn't as gem as the other 2. They were doing about 1235 but it would occasionally ***** out. These settings are totally stable, so I gotta play a bit more with it, I was keen on playing some games on it.
The more cards, the less clocks. I'm on +120 at the moment, which is high when you look at the list. Some people with singles are getting well over 1300, look at that guy with 1435 on water. Think I'll get about +140-150 max out of it. And the mem I've been lazy with, haven't looked for it's limit yet, but it may be a case of moving it around a bit to get the clocks up.
Got a fast card there Audi?

Reading more on this, they aren't classing a Titan as a GTX, so will be interesting to see the lineup.
However, there are people doing the maths, saying this 85% of a GTX690 is improbable unless running clocks that are almost double of the rated clocks of the Tesla. However nobody knows what clocks the Titan will have on the Tesla. I'm reading $900 a card.
Quote:
Whoever started this rumor, probably an author at sweclockers, plain copied K20X specs directly; there is no "failed Tesla to become a GeForce" theory here; a 2688-CUDA core GPU will not compensate for a 732MHz base clock, it is like some of you aren't thinking:
2688-core multiplied by 732MHz = 1536-core multiplied by 1281MHz-- if any of you have your GTX680's up that high, congratulations: You have a Titan, do the math yourself, it is that simple.
Will be interesting to see how they perform to justify that cost. Especially with 800 series poking it's head out next year, with quite significant architectural changes.

Holy ****, just played MP for the first time since I got this game, and it's way better than SP! 120 fps steady, whereas sp is all over the shop. Second round I played everyone was already QQ'ing and trying to votekick me.

your falling for that suck up right now and u fail to see his game
You know Rulez, I've always had a thing for the underdog. But at no point did I take anyones side. I simply thought the pictures ph33x was posting were hilarious in the context. When I started laughing at them you seem to have turned and thought I was on his side, or in his 'political party'. I think it's a bit ridiculous that you were slinging personal attacks at me simply because I wasn't flaming ph33x. Even xeper admitted they 'had an edge about them'.
In tech and hardware he contributes to the threads, there's nothing wrong with that. But when people come in here and start stirring it up, like what you, xeper, and panda are doing, that gets a bit old. I think you took it a bit personally in the titan thread when we pointed out you were wrong. You seem to get a bit anxious when you have been told you're not correct. That's not really a good trait, especially on a forum.
Calling me a ***** because you think I've 'joined' the side of someone who everyone is attacking? I'm just going to let you figure that one out on your own.

Hey what's the melee spam like in MP Circa? In beta it degraded into speed perks + shotgun + melee.
I did seem to get killed by melee and shotguns a lot, but some maps are a bit more open so they don't have the opportunity to get close. And some of the maps are a bit rage worthy, there's one with some trains or some ****, and everyone just snipes with some stupid 1 hit kill rifle, gets fkn old fast.
Is it doing it when water gets splashed when in view?
If they haven't fixed it since beta, there is a problem with water above medium where it causes what you mention.
Also, ropes that have something swinging from them do it as well, but not when stationary. They were both known issues by the devs, and proven in YT clips etc.

I finished it what must have been only 4 or 5 hours, even on the max difficulty. Not a patch on Crysis 1. After playing FryCry 3 as well recently it just makes C3 look even more average.
