Just replace the cpu. itx boards seem to go out of stock rather fast.

I hear ivy bridges is a crap overclocker. Id save your money mitch.

i think they clock the same as sandy bridge 5Ghz on air possible, but performance is 5-15% better clock for clock.....

well that doesnt look good at all for overclocking ivy bridge even though clock for clock ivy is faster than sandy but sandy is easier to oc higher so it all balances out really

ivy is good for people who dont oc but with my 2600k at 4.6Ghz its really not worth the upgrade to ivy i might focus on trying to get my 2600k at 5Ghz 24/7 stable instead, i should be able to as oc'ing using just the default oc profiles on my board gets me to 4.8Ghz if i dial in the settings myself manually i should be able to hit 5Ghz

240GB. I got a good deal on it since it was used. The store i got it from had it in a display PC for about a week. They sold it to me for $410, which isn’t too bad considering they go for $500+

So worth it, this thing has completely revolutionised my PC experience. Its blazingly quick. Especially when it comes to video editing. But even overall windows performance is amazing. Game load times are slashed and boot time is insanely quick. Highly recommended if you’ve got the cash. The only downside is, depending on your mobo, making sure it fits and doesn’t obstruct the GPU’s fan. And forget crossfire set ups. Also your PC becomes kind of limited with PCI slot real estate especially if you have, or want, a sound card. So you need to plan all that out. On the plus it was incredibly easy to install and I haven’t had a single issue with it whatsoever.

pft computer manufactures cant make good hi fi quality audio for ****. External DAC made by a hi fi company will give better audio quality and give you more space in your box.

I just saw that too, gtx690 is a dual kepler on one card, they gave no info on clock speeds.Interesting to see if its like the 590 underclocked dually. That **** is gunna be expensive....

clock speeds are actually close 1019mhz for 690 and 1058mhz for 680.
Plus all the other **** is double.

nah not until theres a game that 1 680 cant run at 1080, not worth it just to beat you in a benchmark thread

when you get your 690 im keen to see some benchmarks from ya considering our systems are very similar

im holding out for GTX685/780 (GK110) ill sli that for sure, not gtx680 (GK104) which apparently is only a mid-range chip

and my 3d monitor is a samsung which doesnt support 3d vision im also tempted to sell it and get a new asus 27" VG278H 3d vision 2 monitor but i want 3 of em

so near the end of the year if GTX685/780 are released ill sli them and go 3d surround as well

hows 1080 on a 27inch monitor? are the pixels noticeable? iv been told by a few people not to go bigger than 23-24" on a 1080 monitor, but dam that monitor looks nice

The pixels are fine, And will tide you over nice till ultra high res 120hz monitors.

Fantastic, jut remeber more intake = more regular cleaning.

yeah i got an air compressor, i usually take it (my pc case) ouside and blow all the dust out every couple of months

air compressors are all good as long as there is no moisture in them, I just pull parts out and use a (clean) paint brush to get all the dust and **** off my bits.

i prefer a bit of cleaning putty for the hard to reach places such as fans, and a vacuum for the rest.

I just put mine in the washing machine every few months.

i use my karcher high pressure hose first then dry it off with an air compressor.....

I don't ever clean mine
