GA15 24/7 2fort is hacker haven for this one sod who just creates a new account everytime he gets the ban hammer...Now for my serious question...Where the HELL is all the admins anyway? Never online and I recall anything being done when the so called "Admins Wanted" post...Did you even recruit anyone new at all? Or do you guys just find the players who are NEVER around when you need them? Aven and about 5-8 others are ALWAYS there, why can't they be admin? Or is that just too sensible..

It's getting to the point where reporting the same dude everytime is getting tedious and annoying, why should we be doing YOUR job when you're never bloody around? Can't you just block his IP Address or something? Save our times AND yours.

Seriously needs some admins to atleast be accessible during the holidays especially. If BF3/MW3/Newfps needed new admins there would be an instant response in favour of getting some more active guys on.

I was active all days last year. GameOps do not get payed. This is why the community need to help by submitting reports. If people cant submit a report. They wont make it as a GameOp.

I understand your point Ambush, but most people don't know where let alone how to submit a report. Having on-server admins or even Message's Of The Day, to either tell people how and where to submit reports or simply kick/ban offenders on the spot (after recording necesary evidence) will make things much easier for both the players and GA.

You know the irony is you said they do nothing about hackers, yet you also cite an example of someone getting banned alot but just making new names/accounts etc..

They have a system, people dont use it, as stated above weather they know how or not.

The resolve of this? MAKE ME A GOD DAMN ADMIN. You guys wanted admins yet I fail to see anyone new, unless and like I stated before...To be a valid candadate for an admin you have to be no where to be seen when most needed.

Ambush, if you're active most days, why not implement a in game call for admins?
If someone abuses it, kick em or ban em.

Sadly 2 and 3 hold true here. Ambush is certainly not active and if you do a brief search in the forums you will see not much ever changes because they don't care.

Funny how there is a hacker on right now. and not a single admin in sight...Why you guys don't grow a brain and make me or someone who is on GA15 everyday an admin is beyond me.

And if you all are so against using your undeveloped **** brains, make GA15 a p2p only server

There's at least a hacker a day now, it's getting out of hand.

For whatever reason GameArena don't like promoting regular players in good standing to GameOp positions. Even after their big recruitment drive halfway through the year, not a single new GamOp or Admin has shown their face, even though there were dozens of people putting their name forward to take the job. Was a single person even recruited because of that?


If you're not going to hand out GameOp status to a few trusted regulars, (seriously, we can give you a list of 3-5 people, all of whom have been playing on your servers for 3+ years and who are all over 18), THEN ALLOW US TO KICK PEOPLE FROM THE SERVER. Enable votekick. I know your scared it'll be abused, but at least trial it for a week and see how it goes. That's the easiest way to get rid of hackers, that's why Valve put it in the damn game.

You're only hurting your community by giving this issue the run around.

Either promote a few players so that there's always a GameOp on hand

Enable/trial vote kick.


I know you harp on about abuse reports, but they're next to useless. No one wants to waste their own time recording footage, submitting a report, waiting days for the abuse report to be read and for bans to be handed out. the problem needs to be dealt with AS ITS HAPPENING. There are much more quicker and easier ways to deal with cheaters and hackers if you'd just let us have them.

Guys you really are flogging a dead horse. The people that have any power to do anything (not ambush) couldn't care less, this has been going on for not weeks or months but YEARS.

Either resign yourself to playing with hackers or go elsewhere, there's simply no other option.

Really needs to get new admins, the hackers are all over 24/7 2fort, if you cant recruit new admins get the old ones to do their jobs and actually review/ban the guys that are reported

I can only assume that it's the admins hacking on their other accounts and therefore aren't making anyone gameops so they can keep doing it >.>

Wouldn't put it past them Matt. We may just have to start petitioning GAmeops from other games in the hope they can get the cogs turning for a TF2 admin change of guard or just get old ones to do their job

I've been seeing this problem almost non-stop since I started playing TF2 in 2008. In mid-2008, the admins were active and took the initiative in policing the server, but by the end of the year, most of GA's servers became relatively lawless, and people essentially had to start peer-pressuring people to leave the server. This tends not to work when the person doing the screwing around is a 12/13-year-old who thinks that they're the be-all and end-all of computer programming because they downloaded some **** software off of BitTorrent.

Never show up.
Tell people to record a video and then watch it 5 months later.
If you happen to actually join a server with a botter. Tell the server to record a video because you're too fat and lazy to simply "kick" that hacking player.

Oh, and brag about how great you are and how you appeared online for a full year...2 years ago.

Aven isn't a liable candidate for administration in GA because he's just so much better than the current admins. Appearance, personality, gaming and most of all...What seperates Aven from being an admin? PEOPLE ACTUALLY LIKE HIM! This is a big no no in GA. You have to be fat, lazy, boring, borderline ***, play xbox and all around *** to be an offical admin of GA. They say they are going to get more admins....Don't hold your breath. THe GA admin are like Julia Gillard, says what we want to hear but never actually does it, and makes excuses every time.

The admin team is under a pretty heavy workload, as always there is the hope that changes are on their way.. We'll see.

As far as I'm concerned, I left GA months ago of my own accord (largely as a result of external, slightly conflicting, interests). I still like to keep an eye on things over here, though

The only reason I play on GA server is for 24/7 2fort, and because unmetered.
But really thinking of switching internet provider AND server regs to SOMEONE WHO ACTUALLY CARES ABOUT THEIR COMMUNITY!
