Just had a go now ctf & tourney q4max & it works for me

But looking at the required files on ga it only has q4max0.74 & patch 1.2, but on tourney they were playing the custom map galang(l4dm1), ummm?

tourney mapcycle mp/l4dm1;mp/l4dm2;mp/swq4dm1;mp/q4dm3tmp

ctf mapcycle mp/q4ctf1;mp/q4ctf2;mp/q4ctf3;mp/q4ctf4;mp/q4ctf5

I got my files from other servers like slashquit & others, but if GA are hosting games with those files then they must be part of the "required files" in order to play. You can try & get them elsewhere but I reckon you should ask GA to host downloads for them

We need another FFA server. It's been 10/10 numerous times. 6:10PM Fri night and its full.
Great to see, but annoying when we want to have a few rounds of FFA but theres just the 1 FFA server.
We want this game to pick up more. But it wont happen if GA restricts us with only 10 spaces!

been reading this thread while im waiting for the arena thing to download (im doing this so i can play q4 without lag and such) - seems everyone is having dramas with it - i thought it was just a matter of going to this site , pressin a button and havin some kick A fun. i mean i just want to shoot some stuff up. better not be waisting my time.

can we please have a ctf server. alot of peopl enjoy ctf and some dont. but when we vote ctf on a server and people that dont want ctf complain visa versa... and can you get rid of the delta ctf server i have xfire and i monitor servers that server/mod is lucky to have three people join a week. please and make it q4max if possible with voting only between maps, cap limit and the modes ctf and actf. PREETY PLEASE

I made some of these requests in another thread not realising this one existed, sorry for the double up. Thaks for providing the avenue to make these kinds of requests.

The following would be nice and likely heavily utilised.
Q4 1.3 DM 16 player (dedicated game mode) server with voting enabled
Q4 1.3 Tourney/TDM 16 player (votable game modes) with voting enabled
Q4 1.3 CTF 16 player (dedicated game mode) with voting enabled
Q4 1.3 DZ/Buy 16 player (votable game modes) with voting enabled

When mod teams get it together
Q4 1.3 RA4 16 player with voting enabled
Q4 1.3 Q4Max 16 player with voting enabled and additional maps

Carn Fuzzy, use the logic. Assuming you're _the_ Fuzzy
Other active Q4 players should revise the above and make additional recommendations also.
Lets get it together, Q4 deserves it.

can we please get rid of the 1.2 servers and replace then with more 1.3 if people havnt upgraded by now i think its time they should.

can we add a ffa server please

20 minute time limit (10 was too short)

hi, i was just noticing this post on Server Recomendations and i thought i might mention that the existing maps could be updated to the current ones as the old versions running on the (votable) server still have slight issues that effect gameplay at times. also, it could use a few more maps as there is not really many maps on there compared to other q4max servers.

Why the hell would you rename the Quake 4 servers to "GameArena GC the only 1.3 q4max in Aus/Nz" then with in a few hours, remove them altogether? That is just stupid.

Given that the only other q4max servers are on the 1.4beta... BETA ...the Duel and votable servers are the most used in the Aus/NZ community. Damn I wish this were a forum I could swear on without being censored because I don't think the polite man's vocabulary can accurately describe the big mountain of faceas you have unloaded on Australian and New Zealand gaming.

Please stop being like your parent company and use the grey goo behind your eyes. You said it your self, it was the only 1.3/.77a server in the area, put it back up and leave it up. Surely two serves for one game can't be that hard for a company of your gross annual pocket expenditure.

hey, i suggest you put the servers back online, there are NO SERVERS in AUSTRALIA AT ALL.
actully red goo it was a booked serverw, it was me who booked that server, and i named it that being sarcastic

i also recommend puting at least one 1.4.1 (beta2) server up, as you have the file for download, and the closest server
with 1.4.1 it approx 250ping, so it would be good to be keeping up with the rest of the world. thanks.

Being an active member of the Q4 Member also. I do strongly disagree with the server management. I think the above post is clear and should be taken into account. Both me and Sumwun are very involved in Q4 and would hate one of our main games to die. Especially when it may become one of the future WSVG games and this time atm is vital for training up

q4 servers are up but i cant connect, and theres noone in em. bugger!

you might need the q4max mod, and the GA mappacks (mappack & mappack1). and the 1.3 patch obviosly.
heaps of people use them, always busy, usualy. if you have any more probs connecting, just ask me and i'll reply.

I had actually jumped the gun and installed more recent versions of the Q4max mod and thats why i couldnt connect.

But i only see 2 servers for Q4 (using gamearena software) and to date, for the past 2 weeks i have never seen anyone on them during the evening..

(but the 029348023948023948023984 counterstrike servers are almost full.. :/ )

as an old school (quake1/2) gamer, i have been out of the loop for quite some time but i just want to play whatever the DUEL tournaments are using (q4? unreal?)

the above 3 posts are just trying to take GA's traffic, and divert them to sq...

neither do GA, but at least they make a half **** attempt SOMEtimes.

an RA4 server would be good, Bring back RA4.
