Any chance for a combat ladder or combat tournament to be run?
Im an NS player whos currently clanless (and prefer to remain that way) but would be up to playing in a team for a combat tournament - similar to UT2004's demo tournament playing onslaught.
Anyone have any thoughts?
Could this be organised with a prize of some sort maybe.

combat isnt designed to be played in this type of competition...its more of a way to lure ppl 2 ns. im not sayin it shuldnt go ahead, but most ppl in the ns community probs wuldnt like it

It's been considered before, but while the Classic ladder is running we aren't going to do anything else sorry. Wait till it's finished for the season

Combat ladders would be pointless, games finish within 10min, thats both rounds, its just a waste of time. Unless it was something like 5 rounds.

On the other issue, it'd have to be an even number of marine/alien rounds. Something like ut2004, first to 5 points wins. First to five game wins would win in this case...

Yeh i really dont think there is need for a prize espically because we can have it more as a fun tournmenty laddery thingy!

Id prefer not to be in a clan (dont want to do much pratice right now etc) and a once off tournament would be something id be up for, thanks for the suggestion though
Bahamut, running a tournament with no prize is not forfilling nor would it gather as many players as you would hope - so a form of prize is needed.
A server isnt an option since its a once off tournament...
Theres no leftover prizes in the GA bargin box im guessing...

heh, there's no way someone would bother to sponsor a NS combat comp. They'd have to be nuts.
