I assumed he was using the voice so that people didn't just say: "Hey, that voice? That's Bruce! Bruce, are you Batman??"

So he should hide his voice. Who wants a stupid Superman scenario where he's stuck on a planet full of people so stupid that he can fool them all all with a pair of glasses...?
Anybody here going to go to the Batman marathon where they show Batman Begins and The Dark Knight just before the midnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises?

The amount of clips, trailers, teasers and sneak peaks for this movie is ridiculous. I'm trying to avoid watching anything more about it after that first trailer or two because there's just too much shown in them.

Nolan did a fantastic job with the first two. It doesn't seem fair to lump them in with the "superhero movies" category, when they kind of stand out from the rest of the pack.

Yeah, batman movies have always been a little more story driven than the others. It seems to at least try to tie into the last one and set some future story line up for the next one. Unlike many of the other super hero movies. When they can't even keep the same actor from one movie to the next. So they have to keep starting the story over again. Like spiderman and the hulk for example.

I did that for LotR:RotK and as cool as it was I would never do something similar again. Not sure what the start time is for the Batman marathon but if it's midnight I would avoid it as by the time the third movie starts you will be exhausted. Even for day time screeners you will be fatigued by the third one. If anything better to watch the two movies at home/friends before seeing the third.

Does anyone else feel like the addition of Cat Woman is only going to make this film weaker rather then stronger?

I watched the first two batmans movies on go. Very different from the current batch, but still enjoyable. I think they should have ditched catwoman and went with Harley Quinn with the last one though. It would have been interesting.

Speaking of being stupid and needing glasses. I saw a clip of the movie last night. An in it bruce wayne is dancing with the cat woman chick at a fancy dress ball. She was wearing a face mask for it. It was the cat womans mask. It even had **** ears for **** sake. I was like wtf batman!!!!!!? she couldn't be more obvious if she wore a huge sign saying "hey i am catwoman"
With big red arrows pointing to her on it. You don't see bruce wayne going around wearing just his bat cape or mask. Hoping ppl don't put 2 n 2 togther.

Well, we don't know the context of the dance. Maybe he already knows she's cat woman and just has to play it cool because it's considered poor form to snap a woman's foot off and shove it down her throat in the middle of a crowded room full of dancers... Or maybe she isn't catwoman yet and it's just a quiet nod and wink to the watchers.

Maybe he knows she's a crazy person in tight leather who whips things and only opts to call her cat woman after he sees her in the cat mask... Or maybe the whole "cat woman" thing is just a nick name the police give her after they see the cat suit thing and the dance party happens after the robberies/beatings/rape/whatever her lame-arse back story is, but BEFORE the news papers start printing "Cat Woman Rubs Against Congress: Hair Everywhere!"?

Maybe Bruce Wayne isn't a presumptious jackarse who snaps the neck of every woman who wears "cute cat masks" to a costume party, the same as he didn't run around town killing every mine when the Joker was on the lose, or every shakey camera and strobe light when the first film was doing whatever the part after the evil ninja thing was. Maybe he doesn't work off flimsy, uncorrelated evidence in pure circumstance because it ends up with him killing half a dozen kids every halloween.

Saw it today, loved it. My favorite of the trilogy, if you haven't seen it yet then go and do so its worth paying to see. Gets a 9.5/10 from me.

it was ok - some twists that were not entirely obvious and cliched, unlike the ending, but still an enjoyable watch

Hathaway was kind of wasted. She didn't feel like catwoman, really. I wanted a bit more Pfeifferesque seductiveness and some scenes with her doing parkour type ****, but they were too reliant on the substance a chemistry between her and Bale would bring, and there just wasn't that much chemistry.

The introduction of Gordon-Levitt's character was jarring. It's like they wanted to bring in a character, but instead of developing it they just threw him in there and expected us to say "oh he's the good guy cop, welcome to the franchise", but it wasn't seamless, and he felt more like a plot mechanic than a character. Same with Mendelsohn, and Cotillard's characters, though god damn I'm in love with her.

I think if Nolan wanted this kind of scope in a movie - as in intended it to be a true trilogy - then there should have been at least a small part played by Cotillard or Mendelsohn in the previous movie, so it didn't feel so much like they were tacked on inclusions to allow the plot to move in a certain direction.

Overall, was pretty good. I was a bit disappointed, but had very high expectations after The Dark Knight. It's just not as good as some people are trying to make out, mainly owing to a lack of continuity with the plot, and two-dimensional characters.

7/10

I came, I saw but was left with nothing. The 2nd movie left a huge impression on me when I left the cinema, people were raging about the movie for weeks on end, how cool was the joker, he has so many awesome lines, even the Batman was at his prime, ready for action. The 3rd movie was bloated with tragedy that had no real meaning, it seemed as though they just wanted us to be really **** depressed for no real good reason.

Bane was all cool and **** in the early parts of the movie but when he started preaching all the freedom of the people **** and went full liberator I was completely put off.

Robin should have been in full character during the movie.

lol I dunno about Robin.

Spoilers ahead:

They're setting something up for a future installment? It ended in a way that I couldn't see how they'd rope Bale, or the character of Batman, back into the franchise, and I don't see a movie standing on the shoulders of Robin alone. I know that Bale first agreed to do Batman begins under the provision that there be no Robin sidekick.

I don't think it was that bad, and I liked the anarchy incarnate character of Bane. Can't put my finger on what it was, but it just seemed to be going through the motions, and there was nothing that really stood out. The Dark Knight was going to be a hard act to follow though, Ledger stole the show.

The thing that **** me off was that there was so much potential. Catwoman's gymnastics were relegated to a backflip out a window and an awkward cartwheel in the prison. Where the **** was the shoulder straddling? The cat claws slashing across a face? And Bane? I wanted to see Bane pick up a guy by the feet and swing him into a pillar like a human sledgehammer. I wanted to see him bash a guy's face in until it was a bloody, caved in skull.

Absolutely none of the fight scenes in the movie stood out. Bane beating the **** out of Batman was kind of cool, but there was no real bone crunching, visceral brutality to the fights. You watch The Raid, and the fights have an impact, they were full-on, and frantically choreographed. In DK Rises, they were so goddamned tame and lacklustre.

Maybe I was expecting too much, or maybe the franchise had reached a peak in the last movie by which it could never measure up, and so Nolan didn't really exert enough effort in trying to do so.

I honestly think a Robin movie is on the way, I just wanted to see Robin jump in at the crucial moments near the end of the movie but instead they put Cat Women in there and she was ****. The lead up to Bane vs Batman fight with Cat Women was pretty cool and that was it for her, the Cat Women character in this movie looked like she came out of a **** pop music video, all sex appeal but no claws like you said.

Maybe the Joker makes me unappreciative of Banes character but he definitely peaked way too early in the movie and his death was all like "shheeet dawg yo her *****?" and then "oh damn ***** you just got owned!".

Spoiler's again:

Yup, Bane's death was ****. He's this forboding shadow throughout the whole movie, this character you come to think of as an unstoppable force, and instead of a satisfying climax, he's there one minute and then BLAM, ***** shoots him with that bat moto thing and that's it. No departing words, no suspense, just him being ousted almost as an afterthought. What a **** undignified end to what was meant to be the main antagonist.
