Hello, has anyone had an issue here where two different usage monitors show two different results? I have suffered this issue (funny actually), my "current account usage" says 6GB and my other meter says over 8GB and am slowed yet I am still under my cap. anyone else had a similar issue?

Is one of them showing unmetered+metered while the other is showing just metered?

no, what I mean is that one is showing over the cap and the other is showing under the cap. I have a screenshot which will be attached to this post if it helps show what I am referring to. please note that the current account usage in this photo is actually around 1.4GB lower then the total shown in the table. this is the type of situation I am referring to.

Yeah I don't understand that. I just looked at mine and it's correct. What happens if you refresh the page?

It wouldn't be fair if your actually under your usage and your slowed to 64kbps.

same thing, the odd thing is that I downloaded area 51 shortly before I was marked as capped which is almost EXACTLY the difference between the two results. perhaps it was marked as metered and then changed to unmetered AFTER I was marked as capped.

just looking again, that whole download of area 51 has been marked as metered for some weird reason, perhaps it was marked as metered because I was using flashget (chrome does not like resuming downloads, see 26 dec 2011 for download)

You should of just went on their live chat..if you have twitter or facebook, the links are there.

I do not have twitter or facebook, does live chat require a microphone to use? I simply thought so because of the picture it shows when I go into live chat.
@toots/adfig why do you always troll threads that I create, did you even bother to LOOK at the picture I posted, how could I be "seeking attention" if I provide proof of what I am saying.
finally, if anyone else has had any similar experiences feel free to post them here.

mate this is exactly my issue as well. I gather you are on the bigpond mobile braudband too?

My gaming is on GameArena servers (plus metered servers) and my current billable month reached to 6.8gb before I got capped. I called bigpond, tried to explain the situation and in a nut-shell, they tried telling me both my metered and un-metered content was charged to my quota! It should be Total usage minus the Free usage = Billable quota.

I'll be waiting for my quota to renew and will be monitoring the downloads, taking screenshots and submitting them in. If I'm paying for 8Gb billable usuage, I should be expecting my un-metered content FREE!

good news, the problem was resolved, my father saw the photo and informed Telstra that they were wrong. if only I could ensure that this would not occur again. If anyone else has this issue, just save a screenshot like I did with mine, contact telstra and let them know.

UPDATE: it seems that several people at Telstra keep making the same mistake regarding usage. I have three photos here, to prove that something is amiss on their end.

each time this has happenned my father would contact Telstra and the problem is resolved, the third time however, they blatantly said that I was over without even checking, the lack of customer service was appalling. WHAT IS GOING ON TELSTRA. if you do not take care of your customers, they will leave you.

ive gone over and i look at my usage dayley and i notced 2gb that i dident use so i rang them and got it back good times

I would like an accurate usage meter,mine says i have used 2% of 8 gig but when i look at the total usage it is almost at 50% .
The old 3G one worked well the 4G one is very misleading.

I tried to contact them, however since I bundled up with my dad to get the cheaper amount and am not on the "contact list" I am unable to speak with anyone on their end, neither me nor my dad knew about this contact list and he is away and out of contact so I am out of luck unfortunately. the weird part is that my current account usage kept going up even though i was capped according to the graph, according to it I have 13GB used which is impossible since I am capped and have been three times this month. most of this was incurred after I was capped in the first place.

I have over a months worth of screen shots 2-6 a day depending on the variations in the usage. I turned it into a spreadsheet to see what was going on and up to 36hours after midnight the usage would change. Very random, didn't happen everyday. It was just like someone said "Aww stick a little there and there."
They don't do anything this started on Nov 27, 2012 when I saw we got zapped for 36mg of usage a day the only tower within 45km was down for 36hours. Started taking screenshots occasionally after that. When we turned it over to the Ombudsmen in Jan 2013 I got serious about the screen shots and in Feb started taking them regularly.
I have offered the screenshots and the excel spread sheet to Telstra on more than 6 occasions and they don't want to know about it.
I am currently level 2 with the Ombudsmen as Telstra had nothing with in the first 10 days except to call once to say, " We aren't sure who's department this is, we are still trying to find out."

How's that?

Everyone should report it to the Ombudsmen so then they can see it's a real problem!
