What has happened to GA in the past week? I'm trying to get WoW 4.2 and I'm getting MAX speeds of 30kbps for downloading it. It's the same for all the other files I'm trying to get, and this is trying at different times of the day and night. Surely the servers can't be that full basically every time of the day. Is anyone else getting this? I usually get at least 300kbps for downloading on GA.

2 Years ago i could easily get 10-12 Mbs. Once the Bigpond D/L came out i could really only get 400kbps max if is lucky. Now i am in around the same boat as you at about 60 kbps. Might be a strategy to restrict amount of free usage?

Yeah, both GA steam content servers are horrendous. I'm going between 15 and 30kB/sec and frequently dropping to good old fashioned dial up speed of around 5kB/sec. This flies in the face of other steam content servers which are easily delivering speeds over 200kB/sec.
Are GA staff able to look into this and provide a reason why speeds have been throttled back, or at least give an indication if performance will improve.

I'm trying to download a file but it's only going at <30KB/sec. This is pretty shocking.

Isn't tech 2 when they upgrade the call to someone with more brains, who can think outside the prompts and customer instructions on the screen and get someone to actually investigate the matter properly.
The brains certainly helps.
