Keeping a box of loaded rabbit traps by your bed would work just throw them at the intruder or place them discretely around the yard.

Downie on his first go hey?

Barrel Loading = Doubt he will even put the bullets in the right hole, considering you would go way over 3 seconds if you tried to put more than 1 or 2 in the gun.

Clip = Would fail on frist few goes at sliding it in properly, then actioning the weapon.

Shotgun = Wouldn't know if the choke is suposed to be out or in, wouldnt know if it goes in the bottom or side hole. Wouldn't know how to action it.

Rifle = Clip? Same as before. Bolt? Lol, first go hey?

I can guarantee it takes longer to get a Hand Gun from a safe, then get the ammo and go shoot the intruder. Compared to the intruder just taking 3 steps and killing you before you even get out of your TV Chair Indent. Even a double action would take longer to get and put a bullet in, compared to some murdering rapist junkie would take to walk a metre and rape your innocent god fearing animal rights anus.

Not to mention the proven distance to prevent a hand weapon attacker is 9 metres.

I would go for a baton or knife of some sort, before even Considering the firearm. Especially in a house.

I guess I missed the part where "Downie" and "Gun" were used together from a responsible firearm user.

Anyway, I just figured you were talking about the entire procedure, not just "Hur dur I put a bolt in my gun, you better run son".

Well it finally happened:

Quote:
President Barack Obama demanded an assault weapons ban and universal background checks for gun buyers as part of sweeping gun control measures in response to the Newtown school massacre.

Ofcourse half the US gov will be against it and the NRA have already come out swinging with all their BS like:

Quote:
The National Rifle Association, the top gun lobby group, warned that only law abiding gun owners would be affected, and "our children will remain vulnerable to the inevitability of more tragedy."

John Howard approved Obama's choice to ban High Powered guns but is still retarded about the role "violent" video games play

Quote:
Writing in the New York Times, Mr Howard said , but pointed to his experience in introducing tough gun laws following the 1996 Port Arthur massacre.

Mr Howard said it was not an easy task, but he used the authority of the prime minister's office to curb the possession of such weapons.

"The fundamental problem was the ready availability of high-powered weapons which enabled people to convert their murderous impulses into mass killing," he wrote.

"Certainly, shortcomings in treating mental illness and the harmful influence of violent video games and movies may have played a role.

"But nothing trumps easy access to a gun. It is easier to kill 10 people with a gun than with a knife."

The Howard government instituted a national gun buy-back program that resulted in almost 700,000 guns being destroyed.

yeah computer games kill riiiiight

Ah it seems that violent game studies are one part of a 23 step plan.

They (Centers for Disease Control (CDC) who incidentally are the guys you also call if there is a zombie outbreak) are just going to conduct research that will result in no meaningful data one way or the other that video games cause people to become violent any more then eating too many cupcakes

but here is what its about:

Quote:
In a live speech, President Barack Obama outlined 23 executive orders aimed at reducing gun violence, including a statement on violent videogames.

After explaining that members of congress historically opposed research into the causes of gun violence President Obama said "I will direct the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to go ahead and study the best ways to reduce [gun violence]. And congress should fund research into the effects that violent videogames have on young minds."

This marks the first time since the renewed conversation in the U.S. on violent games that the president has made a statement. President Obama's order on game violence was the only reference to videogames at all in his speech, the rest of which focused on gun control measure

maybe they should look at American football / aka gridiron if they want to have a chat about violent games

Yup. You're right. I can just see all the gangs and so forth handing in their illgeal guns because of this.

John Howard is a former politcian. He really doesn't have a say anymore. Sure more ppl listen to him than us.
But the ppl who listen to him the most aren't even in power.
So i would be more worried about those who are in Parliament or the senate now.
Which is why i really can't understand why you are so upset about a former politician saying something that tries to connect gaming to real life violence. Yet you say nothing about a current greens senator who is saying the exact same things. She is in power she does have a say. Yet you say nothing about her. Interesting rabbits or should i say sheepie. Can't bring yourself to diss your prophets eh?

Don't change the subject rabs. Tells us why you think it is ok for a c serving greens senator to try and link gun violence to video games. But you come on here on a verge of a having a
stroke raving about a former politcian who made a passing comment about the alleged link?

Yeah. They are different. But can you explain why you are so concerned about howard.
But Christine Milne seems to get a free pass? Why do you think what she said is of no importance rabs?

Let them do all the studies they want so long as they are valid.

Plus we now have an R18+ so I'd almost be willing to say that junior needs time out. But on the other, every pain you spare your child is one they pay for later 10-fold (though any sort of spanking and hitting is just lazy parents being even more lazy).

Looked for a link. But it was on the actual news program with Joe O'brien. Been looking because in no way can i do that downie justice. There is a link to a program on abc radio./ Where that bloke from roy n hg Must have been trying to get her to into a anti game a paintball rant. I think she might have been schooled on the matter by then because she wasn't biting. The paintball thing got me. I'm used the to the video game = violence thing. But the paintball rant sort of took me by suprise.

Your arms are so small and your shoulders lack all/any evidence of any weight lifting whatsoever. Stop trolling.

In case somebody is trolling you at the gym, the following picture are dumbells used by 14yr old girls to tone their arms. Not 25yr old grown men.

UPDATE:

so it appears Americans are now carrying guns on their hips like the wild west - its called open carry - and due to 2nd amendment its not illegal. People are doing it as a "use it or lose it" kinda thing

this guy one ups carrying a holstered pistol on his hip by carrying a AR-15 one of these:
Image
on his back when out for a walk in a suburban neighborhood - just down the road from a school.

He did this deliberately to provoke a conflict as he knew the cops would pull him over when they saw him.

Was the guy doing the right thing? Good message / bad message? Appropriate? Let the gun debate continue.

He is just stirring ****.

I'm ok with him recording, but it's **** that the cops can't even determine his name or basic information like whether the gun is registered to him.
