the ingame soldier to soldier stuff is cooler.

It sounds cool, but the audio quality is pretty bad. At least the couple of people last night using it were hard to understand and I really had to strain my ears to work out what they were on about.

Yeah, they're pretty stupid though. They should be testing the server under load, but the have the servers down when normal Aussies play games.

The game is pretty crap anyway. Don't waste any money on it right now.

I saved up $40 for the pre-order but the jet fail (the exact same imbalance issues that BF2 has, with the exact same OP rockets and jet scrubs with their **** entitlement complex) and lack of colour-blind option has meant I'll keep my money.

Inf play is less balanced than BF2, it's vehicle mechanics feel jerky, graphics are pretty ****, the maps are samey and alternate between single flag cap points, and huge structures that feel very artificial and unrealistic even for a sci-fi.

I never really feel like I'm at a proper military base, more like a giant dropship that can magic vehicles out of nothing.

I'm hoping it has some success, maybe Battlefield 5 could be an MMOFPS like this is. It'd definitely do it a lot better than PS2 is doing it right now.

Nah I do agree though, but I still had fun either way. It's different, it has a good social side to it and damn quads are fun.

If they fixed the colour-blind mode I'd have a lot more fun on the ground. I've basically taken to joining an active squad and doing nothing but following the leader, recognising him by name so I don't plug him with a clip of machine gun ammo because the gold or yellow or green or whatever the **** colour the squad font is in looks identical to the red of an enemy.

I've never once even considered colour blindness in games until now. That must suck dude. I tend to follow the leader as well. I was in a squad with bieltanman and about 9 others last night. Then BLT randomly left and I was left as the leader and the pressure was too much so I quit the game haha.

PS2 is the first game I've had in a long time where they didn't have a way to change the colours or where the colours were a problem (the last one before that was Frozen Synapse which stupidly made purple and blue the primary colours for the game, meaning I had no idea which was which). We're agitating for a CB mode so hopefully we'll get it.

BF3 has a colour-blind mode that works just fine.

How does a middle class cracker like me get 2k certs?

The free certs were to make up for a rollback that cost people a day's progress, and totally not something they planned to do as the end of the beta approaches anyway.

You needed to have a character made before they applied the free certs. I had one in each faction, so I can now tell you that the Scythe with Turning 3 is **** amazing and NC weapon sights are terrible.

**** hell flying is so much easier in PS2 than it is in BF3.

Bind look up and look down to side mouse buttons = instant win button against anyone who doesn't have them.

The scythe is massively OP against the other jets.

I was on PS2 with Pandaemonean at 1am this morning and the first thing I did was typed in /yell "Anyone here from GameArena". Anyway a few moments later this **** tool called "Abigdeal" completely lost his **** and started abusing me calling me a "phaggot" and telling me GameArena is **** in yell chat. I trolled the guy for a little bit and it got to the point where he was caught in an immense nerd rage, spamming "phaggot" and "bro" in every sentence.

After a good laugh Panda and I moved down to a conflicted outpost then joined a random squad so we could get into the action. After many battles we managed to cap the base and everyone became idol for a short period while deciding on what we should do next. To our amazement the same clown from "/yell" chat not to long ago was standing infront of us with 2 of his friends all high-lighted as squad mates.

Seconds had only past and already we were feeling the effects of his nerd rage. Panda was removed from the squad but he was quickly able to rejoin forcing Abigdeal into a more uncomfortable situation. Abigdeal was obviously about to explode so I didnt run I just stood next to Panda starring at him and the 2 scrubs along side him. THEN BAM! I take a huge hit and fall to the ground, an obvious TK, Panda has responded in full force TKing one of the fgts allied with Abigdeal but before any evasive menuevers could be done Abigdeal TK's Panda and then we are both waiting for deploy.

How should we responed to this? as victims of cyber bullying for being associated with the friendly community of GameArena we have declared war on this mother ****, he will feel the full force of the GA Generals. The peice of **** was hit with everything we had in chat after that **** act, much TKing will be had in the future. Its time we made our mark on this game and slapped these cracker internet ganagsters.

It's just not worth wasting time on.

It's like Battlefield except you have to spend 10 minutes in a semi-interactive loading screen before getting to fight.

Or you have to wait 3 minutes to be able to spawn in a jet.

And if you can, you need to hope your team have captured enough maps that you have the 200 resources it takes to buy one.

And you have to spend months before you can equip rocket pods.

And the tank combat is ****.

And the infantry play is weak.

I can't imagine how boring the game is going to be when you actually have to earn the certs to buy things, instead of just getting 3,000 of them handed to you for free.

I saved $40 in case I wanted to buy the founders bonus thing. Now it will go to pre-ordering BF4. Or hookers.

It all loads fast for me. Maybe your computer is broken?
