Hey-o, http://www.blackmesasource.com/At the time of posting this, it is going to be released in 12 Days and 4 hours, which is approx. 12am Saturday the 14th of August, woot! Any idea on when it'll be fully completed? Going to kind of kill momentum if we play up until Xen and then have to wait another 4 years for the rest of the package to be done.

So will this work if you have a illegitimate version of the game - like a copy you got after you followed a guy home from a gamestop shop in 2009 and knocked a dude out for the game box and did a runner?
cause i know a guy who knows a guy who has a friend who wants to know

You dont need to purchase a source game, just need to make sure that you have TF2 on your game list, and Source 2006/2007 will come as free.

You dont need it to be installed Audi - its just needs to be on your game list - i have 270 games on my games list, only 2 are installed.

Pretty sure you need sourse sdk installed. So you'd either have to install tf2 or just the sdk. I'll opt for the sdk.
