Quote: Fast food giant KFC has been ordered to pay $8 million to the family of a girl who was left with brain damage after contracting salmonella poisoning. This wasn't some weird USA store either it was in NSW - Villawood KFC. Serves KFC right they have been cutting corners in their stores for years and it was a matter of time before someone got very ill. Too bad it was a little girl who will never recover from the poison KFC gave her and ruined her life and her families life. KFC fought the whole way - for years KFC fought to make sure the little girl and her family never got a cent but the Supreme Court finally ordered KFC to pay. And after the payment was ordered what was KFC's concern? Quote: it must uphold its reputation for being a provider of safe food in Australia. lol http://www.abc.net.au/news/2012-04-27/k ... ge/3976690

I had it around a week ago. Mind you, there's only so much more damage that could be done to my brain...

I am not surprised at this at all, the food standard in take away shops and restaurants in NSW is A grade pig slops all the way.
It's a miracle the entire population of NSW has escaped brain damage for so long, the first time i travelled into NSW i got a feed at West Wylong and got botchlisem all over the place.

the girl got brain damage but if you didn't read the article the brain damage left her a quadriplegic. She is now a burden on her family for her entire life.
the thing is this brand makes in the order of 100's of millions in profit every year.
Imagine if this was the local Chinese house or kebab hangover joint they would be on the street never to operate again but KFC just keeps on rolling and 8mil is pocket change the short cuts they take every year with poor ingredients and sloppy prep probably have saved them 8mil easily

and the lawyer looks sleazy and judging by his pants excited by the win. Whats the crime in a 7 yr old having kfc? How old was you when you first had fast food? Did your parents feed you a home cook meal every day? Hmm never had fast food? Personally. I never had kfc or mcdonalds until i was 19. I think if you added up all the pizza i had before 20 . It would amount to about 4 pizzas. And they were made in a small family owned pizza shop. But i grew up in a town that didn't have the big fast food chains. Fat **** were rare. I knew about 3 fat ppl. My regular fast food was hamburgers or fish n chips from the local cafe. And they were a 1,000 times better than the **** from the major chains.

I wish I could gain weight. Sick of being so bloody skinny. Fast food does nothing for me. Being skinny is probably worse than being fat. Not as unhealthy I don't think though. "Eat some food man, I can see your ribs" "**** up ****"

Every time I go to KFC I get some microwaved meal which has been sitting out the back for a few hours. I don't go to KFC anymore, they're a disgrace of a business.

I rarely have KFC and so far haven't been poisoned... yet. My maccas runs every Sunday night is a bad habit but I'm the type that doesn't get fat no matter how much I eat. So lucky.

The payout amount/ details of the compensation the family will finally receive was announced the day i made the thread so id not say it was "old news".
Or did you mean the child being poisoned in 2005 is old news? Because that would be very insightful of you.

It has been in the courts since 2005 but the ruling is only recent and KFC are going to appeal.
Never had food poisoning in my life and I've had my fair share of McDs, HJs, Red Rooter and KFC.

I don't think you can catch food poisoning from wine, when wine goes off it turns to vinegar which is a blood thinning agent. Maybe your blood gets so thin you **** it down the drain,i wonder what you would look like with no blood?

Really keen on some beers tonight. Had only one last night. Hardly drank at all during the week. It's amazing how much easier it is to get drunk when you hardly drink at all for a while.

I had some eggs and bacon the not long ago. I think one of the eggs was off. Because i got a lil sick. And after i recovered every time i smelled eggs cooking or even thought of eating them i would start to feel all queezy again. My gf thought i was being silly. I said this isn't the first time this has happened. My mate said the same thing happens to him if he eats something that is a off. Maybe it is a form of natural defence by our bodies to help protect us against food poisoning.

Want to invite me over Bookz? Haha
As for the distaste it is a natural defence mechanism though how it exactly works can be explained in a few different ways (can look at it in terms of classical and operant conditioning, psychoanalytically, psychophysiologically and more) with the most likely scenario where the explanations intersect.

salmon sushi is pretty nice but let it go off or if you've been served a bad one, you'd think you were going to die. One of my friends left it unrefrigerated for hours before eating it and spent the next few days **** his insides out, on a toilet that 3 people shared.

Never had an issue with sushi, and I eat it at least once a week, including those tasty raw beef ones, beef tataki or whatever it is. Raw salmon drenched in wasabi makes me orgasm.

But only because noobs try and make it and ruin it all/do it wrong. You will notice multiple knives are supposed to be used, and sometimes even separate fridges with different temps for different fish kinds. Anyway, the noob sushi chefs, cut everything with the same knife, fail to store the fish correctly, fail to perfectly remove the bad parts of the fish or use the same knife to further cut the fish. It is even possible to mix certain kinds of fish together, that contain non-harmful bacteria, but when put together it can mix into a "poison" and make people extremely sick. TL:DR - It's not Sushi, its retards who cant make it who make you sick.
