Ok, here is a thread where we feature one wikipedia page every day, for the joy and education of all. Only one wiki page can be posted per calendar day. Anyone can post a page but once a page has been posted for a particularly day, no further pages can be posted until the clock strikes midnight. Discussion on the subject of the daily page is encouraged.

AB could i suggest that if u want to discuss something u need to apply yourself a bit more. You need to do more then post a wiki page and saying "go to it".

You might even need to put yourself out on a limb with some opinion of your own. Its best that its something that goes against the accepted order of things or that doesn't fit with accepted theory 100%.

Thats how you get a discussion started - you need conflict you need a point that people can be for or against. Saying "Hypnosis eh,,, whats with that?" isn't a great conversation starter. Saying "Hypnosis? - Yup the wiki is 100% right" also doesn't lead anywhere.

They say you can't hypnotize people to do something they don't really don't want to do.

People claim it has worked for them to give up smoking. I love the guys that say If I can't hypnotize you you don't pay. Well it has not worked on me.

an excellent topic my good man. When I first heard the term "consciousness raising" I thought it was some kind of new-age mumbo-jumbo ****, and I'm sure there are some con-artists out there who use the term as part of some mystic woo.

But as a committed atheist, I am in the business of consciousness raising about the folly of faith.
