Meh, it's obvious the Libs are going to win... Labour has been a shambles since Rudd got knifed. Nobody has ever trusted Gillard because she never shows a human side, just this standard robotic politician who knifed a leader who appeared to be doing a decent job, even if the stimulus package wasn't the greatest idea. On top of that she has never been able to live down this supposed lie, which was really just a case of her not realising the situation she would be in after the election.

If someone like Keating or Hawke came along Abbott would have crapped his pants and gone home crying a long time ago. He's a nut and a stooge, just a shadow cast by the richest and most influential people in the country.

Just read an article on this, so they vote on Monday eh. I think gillard will stay in power, krudd would be loving all this thou.

What I wish would happen thou is krudd is voted in, then an independent drops support then an election is forced and libs get in. Hold on for the ride!

The importance of the leadership of the labour party is not important as it is clear she will win. But for pure entertainment and morbid curiosity I hope rudd wins. Man I will laugh like I have never laughed in my life.

At least Rudd managed to win an election on what was essentially a carbon tax - why did they even call it that!? I'd say he's by far the better politician, just apparently not a team player. I'd also give him some credit for drumming up support for the broadband network, best idea Labour has had for a long time.

The stimulus package seemed like a good idea at the time, but now they have no money to spend on essential services, which will no doubt need to be slashed.

Seriously is no one else fearing for the future right now? This current generation of labours and liberals are the worst i've seen in my relatively young life!

lib / labor? Yeah they are both as bad as each other.

They have been going that way for years, for more then a few elections going back a couple of decades its been which was the best of two bad choices

So its no surprise you feel that way frisco as both are tired examples of the same same rich vs poor,,, many vs few etc etc.

Don't forget the attitude of party over population. More evident today than it was back say 20-30 year ago.

I love the cover of today's Herald Sun

Vote One
Julia Gillard
Kevin Rudd
Anyone... Just fix it.

Me sees Simon Crean or Bill Shorten coming out of this with big smiles.

We really need to change our political landscape in Australia

I'd like to cast my vote this year for a dog on a scooter who doesn't support a single party line, but instead rolls towards each problem, his little mouth open as he pants, his little legs working to push his scooter along, and addresses them as individual problems rather then a vast whole with a strong, swayed view one way or another.

I would also like to give him a little pat for doing a good job and maybe a treat.

Rudd is better than juliar.
Juliar will win on monday because, even krudd lovers will know a change in leadership now would leave them all out on their **** come next election.
Labours retarded and just plain out of touch. These people think their biggest problem is gillard or rudd. It isn't, their biggest problem is having the greens as the defacto leaders of this country'.
Anyway this is all a win for Aus. Bring on PM Abbott.

As a general rule i am quite happy to let politicians go about their jobs and take their nonsense with a grain of salt.

I have to say J Gillard is the first politician i have come to despise i feel that she has let the entire country down with her lying and her inability to lead.

Every thing she does and says is dictated by the party she is vapid and soulless a truly disgusting example of a politician on a string.

We as a nation are suffering financially because of her inability to actually do anything other than ***** and whine.

J Gillards big problem is the fact that she is a female and has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that woman belong in the kitchen.

No her biggest problem is she is a ****,it is a poor person that blames their tools for their failure.
She has had every opportunity to improve Australia and as far as i can see she has just sat around twiddling her thumbs.

Why should we pay double for everything we buy in Australia for eg a car made here is sold over seas for $!0 yet we have to pay $100 because J Gillard has not done anything about tax reform.

And blablabla she is a ****.

I agree zaraq. I was just talking about this wit hmy gfthis monring. How her cousins who live in perth are paying over a $1000 each (one way) for a plane ticket to come back here to visit their dying mother. Can't blame guilard though. Australia has always been like that. Australia leaves America in the dust when it comes to greed.

The fact is this situation should have been hit on the head ages ago. They have dragged their feet. They knew he was vieing for the top job for at least 18 months now and they done nothing to quell it at all.
Gillard is not helping the situation with her humming and harring. Then all of a sudden she takes up a dictatorship role within the party telling members who they can and can not talk to.
Then add the so called "transparent government" card and then refuses to discuss conversations or just about anything else for that matter.
Now add Tony Abbott in the back ground to just plain out annoy the shiet out of her whenever she stuffs up. Speaking of stuffs up, this is usually caused because she sold out to the indies and greens just so she can get power.

I have been watching interviews with her for awhile now and you can tell she is getting angry over the whole situation. Just watch her face over the past 6-12 months when being asked questions by the press.
Now add stupid decissions like her interview on 4 Corners, she looked like an absolute ****. If you have not seen it, go watch it on the ABC website.

The current stae of the labour party is due to her because she had/has the power to kill this off months ago but she has ignored it.

I find it funny that this entire "political" debate is only really about who people like more.. or at best, who is more likely to win. Such a silly game that people take very seriously for some reason.

We should have an electorial system that is based more on the u.s version than the british one.
The british one is better. But not for Australia.

lol, the Greens are NOT the defacto leaders of Australia... they would need to be a majority government to push through most of the policies they want, fat chance.

gillard goes "yo kev we backstabbed you haha ownt" then rudds like "yo **** this **** im out" and then gillards like "hey dont do that its not nice".

so now hopefully they tie the leadership vote on monday then gillard can give blowies to 3 more pollies like she did for pm.

then krudd will get **** and go libs and cuz he has the seat power will swing.

then julia will be like awww kev...

then she will give him reach arounds and he will go back. then next election will happen and abbot will be like "haha nagas"

then they will both resign while abbott tea bags the parliament.

the green minority government has worked very well - more minority issues have seen the light of day and even larger issues have had serious debate not just "party line" talk

Yeah cause julia always wanted a carbon tax. Even though it is what she stabbed rudd in the to prevent. No the greens have had a lot of say in this government. And a lot people are starting to realise it.

starting to realise? All the talkback and ultra-conservative **** have been pumping out pretty much nothing but "the greens have the power" line since the last election. You've mistaken popular discourse for inside information and it makes about as much sense as mr. middle-aged white male being a mistreated minority.

This brings up my 1500th post. In cricketing terms, bring up the 150 is a smaller celebration than bringing up both the century and the double century, but it's still a milestone worth of removing the helment and acknowledging the crowd. I choose to mark this occasion with a picture of Cletus:

Yeah Alan Jones said something so it must be a liberal lie. ur duur . And Being a white male does suck. Example. Mate went to course induction yesterday for the mining industry. . About 25 ppl turned up for the 15 spots. About 6 women Ten aboriginals and the rest white males. they were informed by the teacher. That a certain percentage of positions will go to Aboriginal and women. Plus there isa new course starting next month for Aboriginals only.
So go away with your left winged ****. It is becoming a bore. So glkad people like you will lose in the choice of government you want. Gillard stabbed rudd in the back over his carbon tax. Greenswanted a carbon tax. Guilard introduced a carbon tax. The greens are the defacto leaders of this country. And people know this.
