Is LA Noire on the servers? It says LA Noire Complete edition is but if I only get standard LA NOIRE will it still download off the servers?

Ghost recon future soldier is downloading with steam manager enabled.

Is TF2 still on here? Frey's seems to block it, but then starts downloading sometimes.

EDIT: NVM, got the download going without the filter, then put it on and it's working fine.

Read the first post, Bigpond/GA has zero control over content on the servers, it's entirely at valve's discretion and all attempts to even acquire a list of games on the server have been unsuccessful. That's why we're here.



ARMA2 is on there, OA is not.

It turns out shogun 2 is unmetered so you don't have to worry about a 30 gigabyte download

Seems that mass effect is no longer on the servers :/

I'm having some trouble with this. I used to use Freys filter, but seeing as it has been taken down, I switched to SteamManager.

I am connected to GA17, but also connected to 49.143.234.14 and valve.tge2-3.fr4.syd.llnw.net
That's not right is it?
Also it appears BioShock and Just Cause are no longer on our servers.

I'm going to go through so much usage downloading these :/

I managed to get La Noire The complete edition on the weekend (sat or sun) unmetered (took over two or three weeks to start downloading though). None of the Grand Theft Auto series seem to be there at the moment though as I'm not having any luck with those, or with Bioshock 2. Just seems to be none of the games I'm getting on the sales are on the bigpond servers.

Bioshock finally started and finished and it was unmetered.
GMod 13 Beta is even downloading from the GA servers. Kinda surprised at that.

Can anyone please tell me if content1.steampowered.com and content2.steampowered.com are unmetered? Dragon Age: Origins decided to start downloading, though it's coming from those two servers, even with the filter in place. It's not a HTTP connection either, it's through port 27030.

if its not downloadin on ga2 or ga17 it will be metered. Happened to me last week with the filter in place and got me shaped.

Bought burnout ultimate..had the filter on..game downloaded, checked usage today and it used metered not unmetered WTF, very annoyed

Appears the GA content servers are taking a hammering with this steam sale on atm... bigpond really should find out a better way to have this data unmetered. Using a firewall program is painful.

Just finished downloading TES: Oblivion. Supposed to be unmetered and I was even connected to the GA servers, but I've still been hit with the usage :/.

Downloading Bioshock and Bioshock 2 with the filter on and I've been hit with a 6 gig useage.
Not much fun if you have to sit at the computer the whole time you are downloading watching TCPviewer.

Anyone know if GA is going to enable unmetered downloads with the HTTP download method, rather than the older method using port 27030? I was reading the forum/chart at the steam limiter website and this may be an issue in future.

As long as the server ip is 203.39.198.167 or 203.39.198.168 and either port 27030 or 80 I believe it is unmetered. However if it gets away from these ip's then you get smashed.

This is how it has been working for me anyway.

The difficulty with port 80 is trying to limit them. You must use TCIP and close any rogue connections.
The best program I've found so far is SteamManager

steam manger doesnt seem to work for me, the download always stays on "suspended" even when i know the game is on the GA servers.

Sometimes you need to let it start and then turn on SteamManager.
See if it then suspends.
Also watch TCPview and make sure it is actually connecting to the GA servers.



Sometimes sadly often in my case games I downloaded initially from GA move off it. Or even worse the updates aren't on it eg Witcher 2.

You can easilt turn SteamManger on and off by using R to remove the rule and putting it back on using 2.

Port 80 stuff is a bit more complicated. I'm not 100% on it.

So whats the go with this http download **** for Steam? I've tried all the steam filters and none of them work properly. Freys recommends that no one uses his anymore as a result. I tried using it while downloading half life 2. I had TCPview running and i was downloading at max speed on some non GA server. I also got this one called steamlimit. Its the same deal, except **** wont download at all, for any game.

As outlined above, all users should be aware that none of the filter software mentioned in this thread works anymore. Through some foul sorcery, Steam is completely bypassing any and all measures I put up to limit connection to only the GA servers and has downloaded massive amounts of metered data for me in the past few days.

Steammanager still works for me.



That means it isn't on the GA server. You don't "know" it's on the server just if it's in the p.1 list, that just means it was on the server at some point.



Check your own usage to see if it was unmetered or metered, then tell us.

Put something on download and watch steam.exe with TCPview. You'll be in for a shock.

Just as a heads up. If your still using freys steam filter. It doesn't work no more because steam uses a HTTPS method in getting updates now.

Looks like the only filter progs that are working with Steams new HTTP Content Delivery Network are SteamManager (hit T on the main menu) and Steam Limiter.

Ill remove the other filter progs from the list.

SteamManager isn't filtering anything for me anymore. It's all coming in through any server it wants. I can't figure out how to get that SteamLimiter program to work, either. **** sake.

Same here, none of them work for me. They either dont filter ****, or games cant be accessed because steam is busy.

If you're using Steam Content utility manager and the game is not available or suspending and you have it set right then the game is not on the GA servers.

I got MW3 update for multiplayer tonight through GA. Single player updated all bar 8mb.

I'm using Steam Limiter at the moment. Seems to work ok if the game is on the servers.

I couldn't get Dead Space and Just Cause 2 off the Telstra servers so I don't know if they're still there.

I could get Race 07 and its content packs GTR Evolution, STCC The Game and Race On.

Is deus ex human revolution still on the servers? would hate to get capped from D/Ling one game, and is it with the explosive mission/other packs (minus missing link)?

Only way we're going to be able to find out ourselves is to try downloading it ourselves. Use whichever manager is your choice, and download 100mb. Then wait a bit and check your usage to see how it comes up. If it's metered stop, if it's unmetered download another 100mb or so and repeat.

I don't understand what the deal is with Steam Limiter either. I try to open it and nothing happens. No-where in the documentation is there anything on how to use it and I don't know how to configure it. I can't even find a running process for it.

Any other alternatives?
