Well that would entail them finding transport to some city, where with probably little knowledge on how to go about it, they would have to find the appropriate avenues for contacting the appropriate people, then put in an application for asylum, then potentially wait months for their cases to be examined, and then if they've survived cannibalistic voodoo **** hunting them for long enough to be able to do all that, AND met the requirements for being granted asylum, they might just get here.
