There is a serious lack of GA admins in the CSS servers these days I've noticed. Only one I've seen is Enix and even he isn't on very much.

I'm getting f**king sick of the aimbotting/walling thats happening and it'd be nice if someone would do something about it.

I only play on the Office server and it seems every night I come on there's some idiot who jumps in with an aimbot. How does one request to become a gameop to sort these types out? Would be nice to be able to play without the hackers ruining the game for once.

I got back from a 3 week overseas holiday last night so I will be around abit more. there are links about how to apply to be a gameop in the stickied forum threads. Over the next 2 days ill hopefully be able to go through all the outstanding cs demos so in the meantime feel free to send some in, ill be back ontop of it in a few days hopefully.

I seem to be seeing a few threads about the lack of GameOps.

If a hacker really is troublesome, try and take a demo and submit it. This is probably the best way to rid those players off the servers, without the aid of a GameOp. Although, i've hit Enix up a few times in Steam to help me out. You ask if someone would do something about it, but you yourself should be doing something about it by submitting a demo of that player. While many players complain about it, most are unwilling to do something about it. (If you did submit a demo... )

Keep in mind Morphio, GameOps also have to take demo's, the same way a player does. While they can ban the player on the server at that time, they still need to take that demo in order to ban them.

CSS is pretty cheap now days, i'm always cautious when i see someone playing very well on a brand new account. Usually a high steam id is a good indication if a player is hacking or not.

How does one go about posting a demo? All I'm getting is an error once the file uploads.

You are all missing the point yes we can demo.....but isnt gamearena ADMIN that are there and suppose to protect the game from the idiots that hack and harrass other gamers that are trying to enjoy the gaming experience WHY should we have to do it .

Do we have 9 to 5 admins that are paid and go home leaving us to protect ourselves cos theres no one round to do the job.

It would be easerly fix if each admin mentored 5 volunteer they would have more than enough to cover all there servers ...its no brainer ....or is this a threat to the paid admins.

All iam asking for is protection when hackers are saying its GA there are no admins ...you GA have a problem..and are laughing at you while there doing it ..they are also laughing you GA cos they are getting away with it ...and that is your FAILURE as a supplier to us of gaming enjoyment
You could also make it easier if we could contact Admin through IRC

We've previously had IRC admin requests which had to be removed because it was being abused day in day out. We also previous had in game admin request which resulted in the same thing happening.

The few admins that CS has are not paid and never have been. They do not work 9-5 for GA and typically only play around their life/work balance. Personally I've given up playing CS because i've moved forward with each new version and I find CS:GO unplayable as such myself and many others have moved on to other games.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, if there was actually more suitable people applying for admin power they would probably get it. The vast majority are too lazy to record any demos and too lazy to show they know how to spot a cheater, as such they are never considered and the cycle repeats itself.

Rather then blaming GA and its staff for cheats maybe you should blame the cheat developers or the game dev's who haven't released any updated anti-cheat in the last 5 years.

iam frustrated cos right now there r ppl on css 16 use my name trolling other players,flashing and knifing other player and me just because ive killed them.

All i want is to play my game with the same protection as you abd everyone else, and not be hacked or harrased this i think is a reasonable request.

Its not a cop out, you just need to be realistic. When there is a game that costs effectively nothing to buy and has next to zero anti-cheat that actually works there will always be some form of cheating. CS has been plagued by cheats for 10+ years and I cant see that changing in the near future.

I'm responding here because I still check the forums, I personally do not play CS:S anymore but that doesn't mean other _volunteer_ admins don't either. Its great that you have been an admin for EGN for three years, however on GA you have 5 posts, none of which have grammar or follow any logical train of thought. You don't appear to have applied for a position as a gameop nor do you appear to have contributed to this community (apart from using a free service and complaining about it).

In the past 6 months there has only been 3 people apply to be a CSS gameop, two of which have a grand total of two incident reports lodged between them in the past 10 years, the third had a reasonable application and 14 reports submitted. He has had no forum activity however has still been recommended by the volunteers for promotion. It now lies with the _paid_ GA management as to whether they wish to give more people admin access and teach them the systems in place.

If you feel so strongly that GA is letting you down you should log a support job with the paid staff rather then picking a fight with a long term volunteer who couldn't care whether or not your happy

Id like to thank the 2 gameop that were on the server the other night, server ran gr8 everyone had gr8 time, without the trollers and flashers around and yes daveske point taken i wasnt going to respond to them anyway, had nuff of the supidity.
