There are easily 16-20 regs that use this server daily. However the server is the worse ive seen from all the cs:s servers. It consistently times out and drops from the face of the planet. This makes gaming for us all extremely frustrating. Today the server dropped a total of 4 times and is currently down as i type this post.
Please fix this isssue.

The server is always having lag spikes!
Also a ranking system would be nice as 75% of the people who play on the server are regulars

Sorry guys, seems like there is an issue with the hardware, I'm having it investigated urgently. I'd rather not move the server off that box if we can avoid it.

Thanks Malthius for all your work. Any idea when the servers will be updated with the latest patch. I hate how steam auto updates despite the fact i have that turned off. seems each time i reboot the settings go back to default and auto update turns back on.
Other than that the rego on the server has been shocking recently. We tested this by someone standing against the wall. we shot them at point blank, blood splattered on the wall but no damage was recorded.

Latest patch is being downloaded now. Its a bit more complex than normal due to some backend changes they've made.
Is there anything specific I can check regarding hit rego serverside?

not sure whats causing the poor rego. but it could have something to do with those lag spikes. seems like the movement tracking causes it alot. basically what ive seen happen is as your running it 's like the game pauses and rewinds 5 seconds. anything that happened in the 5 second rewind gets taken back including damage caused and kills.

for god sakes... compound spends more time "down" than a cheap hooker... and whats worse... not one word of note as to why it is.. on here... is it because it's full of hackers like Meme, Commie and Dev? and thats another reason we don't need RANK on GA... it only attracks the hackers... oh look at me.. i hacked my way to the top of the RANKS... w@nkady w@nk...

and might I add… no recognition by anyone from GA about the compound Server being down is beyond incomprehensible and totally unacceptable.. … the admins should be taken out back and horse whipped…

ive already logged a job with the paid staff to have the server looked at. at this stage there are four servers down which I believe are all run off the same box so I suspect there is some issues with the box causing them all to not startup properly.
when i know more ill let you know.

half the gamearena servers are sitting there empty with no one ever on them... how fricken hard could it be just to switch one of them ffs...
all of you guys know how easy this is... we've all set up our own little servers in the past..
this is just fricken bull ****!!

Took too long to get back on line and now Compound is officially DEAD… Some people I have seen about have now gone to gamesonnet (I think it is) while others have been reduced to playing gamearena assault, like nate, who recently embarrassed himself by joining the pubassault clan… ROFL… Gamesonnet admins have be infiltrated by hackers… I’ve seen this quite regularly over the years on different serves and in one particular case saw everyone leave that server and it died due to that handful of hacking admins that just killed everyone within 60 seconds of every round… in the case of the “gamesonnet” admins… if you call them out for being a filthy cheat!! They just ban you off their server… I can testify to this.. LOL …. The gamearena guys are pretty good and im not sure why there’s not more gamers playing in the GA servers.. seems to be ebbs and flows to different servers…. Continual crashing of servers like compound and militia haven’t helped our cause… both servers used to kick ***.. Now… I don’t see all my ole friends and foes… sad times I have had to rebuild new foes to kill and upset… those like the pubassault welfare cheaters and the sheep rooting A2A clan on the NZ servers… and most recently… the NZ TROLL clan who came busting into our assault servers … I sent them packing back home again… Good times…

Compound can't be killed.......that's heresy!
It only takes a few days of 10 or so playing to light it up again,surely we can manage that.
