Agreed. Mario Kart and Donkey Kong will pretty much always be a hit purely due to the fun. I still do enjoy the Metroid games but not enough to keep me at Nintendo. I would like to see something different for a change. Then again I am a grumpy old man and very picky. I think Mario is losing it's impact as well.

I think Wii U will be another Nintendo 64, hard push for graphics, revamped franchises, more 3rd party support, hardcore friendly control not some stupid **** TV remote thing. As long as Nintendo can keep themselves out of the gutter and stop filing big loses over **** like 3DS's it should be a fantastic launch.

I'm hoping for lots of cool features in games with the control that you won't be able to get on the other consoles. I'm also holding out for some more mature exclusives. They have the 'game' part fully clocked, but they are missing that story telling, cinematic, mature themed exclusive.

It's a shame Nintendo didn't grow older like the generation it thrilled at first, rather it continues to target the same audience. Yes it works for business, but damn it's a shame to have to get my gamer fix from other companies! Haha, well not really.

I make that statement without knowing or the ability to compare sales of the Mario games over the years. I say in the context that I don't see as much advertising for it nowdays and it's impact in myself.

Yeah that's fair enough. In all honest I think that the Wii would have been a big hit if with HC Gamers if it was HD. But I think that the Wii U will gain a lot of ground since it has the Tablet controller and the Wiimotes. I hope they revamp the GC controller too.

Next gen there will be a hard push for MMO's to go console, Arena-Net is already looking into control schemes for Guild Wars 2. The only draw back is targeting world objects and tabbing enemies the skill execution can be easily dont with a X-Box control but it is greatly limited when "click target object/target enemy". If Wii U is able to capitalise on this MMO stuff it will be a serious contender but Playstation/X-Box could easily drop mouse and keyboard console gaming with an interactive feature rich OS dominating both PC and console.

If Nintendo WiiU has 3D Life Like Sex Games, it will be the best console ever made.

The original mario kart was the best but the new ones still kick ****.
Its all about the jump turn. The original mario kart for snes made you ten times faster around corners. You could knock minutes off lap times if you got really good.
And Battle mode was fun as ****.

I still want to buy a 3DS first, but the Wii U does look pretty cool. I always get excited when Nintendo releases a new console. Just playing a new generation of Mario Kart or Super Mario World and see how far they've come. Its like catching up with old friends again.
