A dispute has been lodged against our match due to a player not being on our team register. We would like to appologise to MAG as it was an honest mistake. We asked if we could run two player that were unregistered to try out some of our new members, this was declined so they left the server and we found two members that were indeed registered.
However...
I and the fellow team member who was in the originial 8 neglected to notice that he infact has not complete the change from the 16v16 ladder to the 10v10.
As this is the first time we've ever had a problem with using players outside of the clan (which to be honest is quite common place, especially at the beginning of a ladder) im a little taken back on how to deal with this. As the game ended with FAP 8 (12:33) and MAG 3 (20:59) i really can't see the massive effect this player would have made however if this is still an issue we are happy to have a re-match with only registered players.
The member in question is one of our longest serving members, he certainly isnt a ring in we have brought in at the last minute. With all the ladder swapping we have done it was just a case of him flying under the radar.
Again appologies to MAG if this has caused any issues, we'll be happy to rematch.
If this is why a dispute has been made, that's pretty ordinary. I would say about 5 or 6 times (out of 13 games across GA comps), AIM has played games and have had players play for or against us who weren't on the register. In all cases, it's been asked before hand, and agreed upon. Other teams have asked us, and we've never had a problem (as they've always been clan members who've not registered/new clan members, etc). On one occasion, we wanted to play a player who had applied to join the team, but we accepted the challenge before we accepted his application, so he wasn't on the list of approved players; our opponent had no problem with us playing him.
It's not like FAP called in a player from Karnage Krew or whoever to play for them. But, you know what? FAP played Karnage Krew last season, and were three short, and KK actually ASKED them to find three players to fill in. So, three guys from AIM stepped in to play.
If this is the only reason a dispute has been lodged, I hope it can be resolved quickly and we can all move on. You're holding up AIM's next challenge
Don't know why they didn't just accept the loss. Pretty sure they're the only team in GA who'd be so harsh considering the circumstances. Oh well, looks like we don't get to challenge either of you, as I doubt we'll wait around for a rematch. Le sigh.
Well, yeah, because AIM and Tzu are stuck in limbo after our match last night, unable to make a challenge, because of this hold up. Our battle plan is screwed up.
Well hopefully the admins will get the ball rolling... Tried to organise it outside of GA and play on either their or our server but they are leaving it to the admins.
WOW declined to allow you to use an unregistered player, thats harsh.I know rules are rules but as long as the other team asks us first we have NEVER declined that request and never will.Real life stuff comes up all the time and we got caught out the other night with 5 late withdrawls for our 10v10,but true to form the BR guys were more than happy to allow 2 unreg guys to play. But it's good to see all is now sorted and re-match is the only fair result.BOL on the re-match i've got a feeling it's going to be fought with plenty of passion.
As a leader of a Semi-Democratic community it was simple to say that MAG will abide by any rule thrown our way we will always do things by the book.. as it was stated before the match started FAP had asked if they could use 2 unregistered players.. MAG had declined due the GA rules.. They had then proceeded to use one unregistered player.. weather they knew or not, FAP still broke the rules.
Weather we won or not the dispute still had to be made.. Because rules are meant to be followed, Hence why they are called "Rules" and not called "Guidelines"..
Instead of forcing them to submit a forfeit. It was decided to part take in a gentleman's agreement and take the option to Re-match FAP... Regardless of winning or losing the match, MAG would hope that FAP will play as we play and follow the rules given to BF3 players by the Admins at GA.

The fact that they agreed to not play the unregistered players and found two new players showed they were trying to play strictly by the rules as you desired. They found two new players, one of whom they THOUGHT was registered but was, in fact, registered to the GA 16s CQ ladder, making it a pure and simple mistake and oversight. Hell, with how many ladders most clans are in (GA, CG, friendly comps, scrims, etc), it's a simple mistake to make. Whether you're a semi-democratic clan or whatever, it's still not very sportsmanlike. Hell, I wonder how long into the game you guys realised they had a non-registered player and bet you thought "screw it, we'll dispute it after the game." If you had won, would you have still lodged the dispute? After all, FAP were playing against the rules...
As has been said by a number of clans in support of FAP here, it's not exactly uncommon for teams to play unregistered players. Especially if they're members of their clan. You must be the first clan I've ever heard of declining an opposition the right to do so, especially so early in the season. After the lockdown or in the finals, fair enough. But, c'mon, we're like 2 weeks in.
I'm just trying to think back. Our first ever ladder match was against you. And I'm actually pretty sure you asked us if you could play a non-registered player. Difference was, we allowed it. And didn't complain when you thrashed us.
But, you know, what's done is done. Good luck on Sunday, and the rest of the comp.

It wasnt untill after the game when i received the SS that it was realized that FAP had an un-registered player
If there are no such rules.. Why do they ask to play unregistered players... And upon signing up to a team, Why is it that you may not be accepted into a team untill the Current scrim has passed if a team has already been accepted into a match.

If i remember correctly it was AIM who actually beat MAG. Yes we did ask to use an unregistered player. But did you take into account that the Status of the match was infact "FREEPLAY" on the 5th of June 2012. first live match was not untill BR vs MAG on the 20th of June 2012.. And as far as i am aware the rules did not infact apply untill the ladder went live. Which again was not live on the 5th Of June..
Once again on behalf of MAG i would like to apologize for any inconvenience this issue has caused other clans.. But the fact of the matter is that Win or Lose. if you use an unregistered player, There will be a dispute.. regardless if you think MAG is un-sportsman like.. Atleast we play fair..
But thank you for your time and this will be my last post regarding this matter as the issue has been resolved and there is no real point to keep going on with this discussion..

Common courtesy to ask. Normal etiquette to allow early in the season. But fair comments. And, yeah, there ARE rules, but Malthius needs to put them up. Haha. But, you know, you're playing to the strictest of rules, which aren't published yet...

Don't get me wrong. I admire the sentiment, and appreciate clans playing to the rules. But, well, sometimes there's the rules, and taking those rules too far. Appreciate you finally coming by and posting, and for the apology. We are now defending a challenge, rather than, well, challenging you guys, as was in our game plan. Oh well. GLHF.
Mate thats CQ ladder.. Im am not in-charge of the CQ team.. i only deal directly with "Rush Scrim" side of things.. But thank you for straightening that out for me.
I know that what happened at the start of the year has indeed reflected poorly upon the MAG name that, that had happened.. But what has happened, Happened. Hence the reason why it was chosen by myself to give FAP a chance to play fairly, Which they will be now. So everything is as it should be.. and from here on out MAG will not be playing with unregistered players regardless if the rules are not stated.. they are still rules..
