I wasnt there so I dont have first hand knowledge of actual game play but the writeups in our forums says it all.
As I wasnt there, I shall quote some of the comments from the forum and the boys will add to these during the day.

AUS, our old sparring partners from BC2 were quick to put in a challenge against us.
We accepted that challenge and then proceeded to pick a time and date that was expected to reap rewards.
Unfortunately many players were unavailable on the night and that meant AUS had to play a depleted side.
Unlikely the result would have been much different, but the match would probably have been better for everyone.

So, first up only 13 players to face the might of AUS.
Then the server came up with the wrong map and with no Ladder Managers available to fix it, play moved to the AUS server.
Then AUS proceeded to dissect SoTzu into its little pieces.

Round 1.
After laborious strat preparation for playing short the match started.
Quote:
First round AUS very quickly got a squad up on top of the Tower at D and set up a brilliant AA defense which quickly locked down the air and then preceded to do a lot of damage onto us.
I do believe we did a grand total of 6 kills that entire round.
AUS played really well and used their advantage well.

Quote:
Round 1 went so quickly that I only got to fire the Jav twice... (the only time I got a kill)...
I had to /kill for more ammo.
From that point, every time I spawn, I'd die in .5 of a second.
Once they capped all of the flags and we had to spawn back to the carrier, we couldn't even get out of it.
The use of their SOLFAM was very effective, and with their air dominating at the start, they take out ours every time Kozmo tries to put one up...
It seems like the great teams are extremely quick on every start to get into position... from there it is almost impossible to come back once you're back footed.

Round 2.
Quote:
SoTzu fared a lot better.. While we didn't have the full air support we were hoping for we were able to take them out of the sky pretty regular.
We managed to hold onto our flags most of the time and at one point early on while purple was grounded we found ourselves capping C.

Quote:
Second round was a lot more successful, and defending of D was done with great effect...
It was extremely annoying of them dropping men on the upper floor, but there's no way for us to get up there.
I saw plenty of green squad coming to D when we lost it momentarily, and provided great support to assist us getting it back.

All in all, playing against a great team and short by 3... we did really well for second round.

So, well done to the AUS team.
Sons of Tzu have taken a lot out of this match and we will be better for it.
Sorry we were a few players short as thats not good for either team.
I dont have any round by round scores but at the end of the match it was decisive.

So on the 19th of March The Sons of Tzu decided to have a day at Oman Beach we rocked up at the Metro Train Station (The GA server was on the wrong map.. and wasnt even a map on the origonal challenge) Where we met the boys from AUS and it turned out they were also planning a simular fun day in the sun. So we all jumped onto the 10:05 to Metro except for the few Tzu guys that got stuck in traffic and missed the train..

So we get to Oman and start setting up the BBQ and before you know it our beach ball had pop'd (Tank) the AUS guys stole all of our prime realesate.. So we packed up all of our stuff and decided to go sailing then moved to the local Cafes to enjoy some coffee, Which shortly after the AUS boys decided that they had enough surfing and wanted a beer.. Unfortunately there wasnt enough seats for everyone and it became a game of steal the seat as soon as someone got up.. many laughs and raging was had and all in all it was a pretty good day..

Thanks for the write ups.

As Pinge said, *AUS* vs TzU (aka rV from BC2) has built up a strong friendship over the last year and a bit. During BC2 our clans had many tough matches and scrims.

At half time I honestly wasn't that excited after our comprehensive round 1 win. Although it was a solid 225-0 round win. I knew TzU could play better than what they did. RU is always the easier side on Oman and it showed with TzU unfortunately not having a full side. We were able to control the air and quickly move on to their flags to pin them back at the carrier.

When round 2 started I had a feeling it would be a lot tougher. I'm sure Hitman and Moridin would have got stuck in to their boys and although still down on numbers, would put up a braver fight as RU... and sure they did!

Our squads were scrambling in defense during the start as TzU put pressure on our US flags. Once we cleared them out we turned our attention to capping their flags. We came up against a resilient defense as both. With the boys grit and determination we managed to hold a 3-4 flag cap during the last half of the round.

GG to TzU for a great...and more fun... second round. Well done to my boys too. You did everything I asked and performed well.

I look forward to our next match when hopefully we can both run a full team.

p.s. my heart skipped at least two beats when I loaded in to Metro!! I quickly checked my email to confirm it was Oman!!

Not much else needs to be said, once again AUS delivered a well constructed assault which showed us the importance of being more organised.
A gallant effort by the TzU guys, playing a squad down.
I was proud of our second round efforts.
I also blame pinge's unavailability for our loss :)

gg AUS.

Thanks for the game guys - 3 guys down is enough to seriously hurt, but you still put up a great fight! Looking forward to our next match.
