Well lets put it this way.
The rules are out.
The ladder is about to start.
If you dont like the rules no one will force you to play.
If you do however decide to play and after a few weeks of playing you find the settings have faults in them, then come back and respond to the thread that will be here to ask for feedback.

yeah 3rd person is great in a jet but thats about it if i didnt have 3rd person in a jet i would crash into so much more lol.

in a Heli it is terrable you cant judge where you are going very well.

in a tank i never even use it, i just use prox scan to see when people are coming at me.

in a jeep i think its needed, you seem to be able to drive so much better in 3rd person in them. IMO

Guys, it looks like one clan here is trying to force their view on everyone else. Shame that the rules are already decided.

Perhaps Sons of Valour should look at conducting their own hardcore ladder, I imagine it would be both highly competitive and a raging success. I can't imagine anything more fun than Survival Mode competitive gameplay, perhaps with two bullets to kill, would make for riveting matches.

Every rule change requires a ladder lock, admin input, testing and evaluation.
Enough is enough.
We are spitting distance away from the go signal.
lets just play the game, evaluate what we have and in a few weeks time we can see what needs to be toned down.

I feel too that you may have taken it that I was referring to you.

I think any setting is fine, especially when both teams have to deal with exact same restrictions. Its good that the ladder system and servers work. We can all have fun.

Whats with the hardcore hate?

I cant not play on hardcore, i enjoy sniping so getting into a good spot getting a kill then getting a big arrow put on my head via kill cam doesnt interest me.

Bookings are starting with 3rd person cam off

there's also a huge delay when entering 3rd person cam for some reason. you press the button and it switches to 3rd person cam half a second later, really annoying. never experienced this anywhere else other than GA 16v16 servers.

Hmm, Odd i dont have this problem when on GA servers.

Did some one change the settings to the match server? I would sugest not changing anything in the match server settings (even 3p cam).

I have never gotten the appeal with the 3rd person view when flying..

What advantage does it give you?

Let's you see different angles and shadows etc. for dog fighting.

also see the angle the bullets are coming from so you have an idea which way to avoid the following jet etc

It's fairly integral to dog fighting and virtually all servers that are worth playing run it. Trying to play a match without it or without it functioning correctly is a nightmare for pilots.

It's also rather frustrating in tanks.

i never use 3rd person, i can match those that i hold in high regard in the air, and im better than most in a tank/apc.

Not really... I leant to fly playing on HC servers.. and there isnt any 3rd person in HC.. you just have to learn how to move and use the Mini map to lose people off your tail
