Been trying to get the battle recorder files from the second half of 2007 GA battlefield2 tournaments without much success.. the game keeps crashing after its fully loaded with a "Debug assertion failed!". All bf2demo files has been downloaded directly from the GA.
Tried loading the game with patches 1, 1.4/1 to 1.5 and even loaded the GA ladder map packs v1.

I'm not sure what else i am missing but if thought will be greatly appreciated.

also, don't forget to check your radiator fluid and your brake fluid.

pc's that don't have their brake fluid topped up useually have a desktop that feels oily when moving the cursor, as it can't stop well.

The only way you can watch old BR files is to figure out what version of bf2 was being played at back then.
Do a fresh install of bf2 and patch to that version, they should work fine then.

If you are referring to the GA money comp it was played far closer to the start of bf2, so it may work with the original version or after the first patch (it might be hard to source the first patch).

Otherwise if you're trying to watch later demo's and they aren't working with 1.4/1.41 etc. try the 1.3 patches.

GA only threw one tournament, and it was at the release of bf2.

So either he was talking about watching demo's from then(2005), or he's trying to watch demo's from 2007.
My post addressed both scenario's.
