So I've recently invested in a new computer rig with the hard-drive combination of an SSD and a regular 1tb drive.

Windows is installed on the SSD and as such all downloads or installs automatically save to this drive. At only 120 gb I want to be a bit more picky with what i put on there.

Now i know i can manually save to the other drive by changing the destination in the setup but is there a quicker or easier way to do this?

Perhaps a way to tell windows that the hdd is the main destination for all downloads installs?

any help appreciated

When you down load stuff at least in Firefox it asks if this is the default location so i would guess its just a matter of setting up your browser properly.

I had an issue where I installed programs on d: but they only worked once. I couldn't open them after I turned off PC. The desktop shortcuts turned into the blank window icon as well.

Ive only got a 120 GB SSD as well, so It can fill up pretty quickly.

You can set IE to download to the 1TB as well. However, IE has gotten crap recently, very unstable.
